Zyme-Ox® Z20 Composition
Rapid and Effective Oxidation of Pyrophoric FeS and H2S

H2S and pyrophoric FeS are contaminants that are common in refineries and petrochemical units. United Laboratories International, LLC, has developed the solution: Zyme-Ox.

Zyme-Ox doesn't compound waste disposal costs or require the use of multiple chemicals. It was developed for use as an oxidizer to combat and eliminate H2S and pyrophoric FeS.

Zyme-Ox oxidizes H2S and pyrophoric FeS on contact providing for safe equipment entry. Zyme-Ox chemistry is often included in the Zyme-Flow® Process in towers and vessels where high H2S and pyrophoric FeS are commonly found. Common applications include packed sections of towers and heavily fouled trays and drums.

Zyme-Ox exhibits excellent penetration and is perfect for applications where heat or steam may not be a viable option. Zyme-Ox works at temperatures from 200°F down to near freezing. When used in conjunction with Zyme-Flow® Processes it reacts completely to destroy sulfides and pyrophorics, while expending itself and increasing detergency without foam or residue.

Zyme-Ox has also been shown to be effective at removing hydrogen cyanide, polythionates and thiosulfates.
