For years, gas plants around the world have needed excessive washing and / or dangerous chemicals to remove dangerous residue such as H
2S, pyrophoric iron sulfide, heavy hydrocarbon residues, treatment chemical residues, and other concerns.
In some cases, the dangers in using highly reactive chemicals included potential lethal vapors, corrosion dangers to equipment, and explosions.
A new approach has been developed by United Laboratories International, LLC that includes single chemical applications that oxidize dangerous compounds, liquefy heavy hydrocarbons, remove polymeric deposits left during various fouling conditions, liquefies salt deposits, and slurries many reactive deposits such as pyrophoric iron sulfide.
This approach allows the safe combination of any of several chemicals to perform the actual tasks that are needed quickly and safely, without having to change out wash solutions multiple times. This not only makes the applications faster, but also reduces waste to absolute minimums.
These chemicals include:
- Quick-Zyme™ -- for general oxidation and emulsification needs
- Sweet-Solve™ -- for liquefaction of heavy oil deposits (asphalts and paraffins) and polymer removal (amine and glycol residue)
- Quick-Ox ™ -- for fast oxidation of numerous compounds where polythionic stress cracking is a potential concern.
- Quick-Ox Plus™ -- for fast oxidation and limited ammonia removal.
