Zyme-Flow® UN657 is a water-based surfactant/enzyme combination that emulsifies and demulsifies hydrocarbons without the use of external emulsion breakers. This versatile product has numerous applications in decontaminating hydrocarbon processing units. In a single application, Zyme-Flow UN657 removes oil, gas, benzene, LEL, H
2S, and pyrophoric iron sulfides.
- Benzene: Zyme-Flow UN657 penetrates sludge, scale and metals. It frees the hydrocarbons, allowing benzene to be flashed to the flare, knockout, atmosphere or other relief system.
- H2S: Zyme-Flow UN657 oxidizes H2S and eliminates it in a relatively fast, mild oxidation that does not generate a heat reaction.
- Iron Sulfide: Zyme-Flow UN657 oxidizes sulfide components and takes away their pyrophoric nature.
As part of the patented Zyme-FlowSM Process, Zyme-Flow UN657 reduces turnaround cleaning time by as much as 24 hours, allowing fast, safe entry into vessels. It saves time and water by venting benzene to the flare, rather than flushing it to a wastewater facility.
Zyme-Flow UN657 is safe, biodegradable and compatible with metallurgy and wastewater systems. There are no VOC’s, no hazardous materials, and it is 0, 0, 0 rated for health, flammability, and reactivity.
