Dr. Steve Matza

Dr. Steve Matza is the Chief Scientist at ZymeFlow. Steve is responsible for research and development, product strategy, and technical guidance.

Since joining ZymeFlow in 2009, Steve has been instrumental in expanding the company product portfolio by developing additional chemistries that continue to have great global success.

Steve offers over forty-five years of experience as an Industrial Chemist and holds 27 issued patents. Before ZymeFlow, Steve spent three decades at Shell in the roles of Research Chemist, Senior Process Chemist and Corrosion Specialist. He started his career as a NASA Intern.

Steve received his B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX, followed by a Ph. D from the top-rated Analytical Chemistry program at Purdue University located in Lafayette, Indiana.
